[VEGAS 13] How do I actually crop a video?

I have a video where half of it is black on the right side, and I want to make this black area transparent, so I can layer it with another video. How do I just crop out this black area? I have tried with the pan/crop and motion tracker thing but it just screws up the video.

Use Cookie Cutter Fx,
choose rectangle, select no borders, increase size and move center where you need.
