According to reports, it made some big UI changes and improvements at version 3.2,
I've seen some good comments about it.
(But I haven't looked at it)

The other editor mentioned often in the forum is Shotcut. Easy to get going for beginners

  3. Thanks again for that Dave.
I've decided to use "Open Shot" for now until I can get to Kdenlive.
Only because I took a long time researching Free editors, and KDL seemed to be the one recommended (for beginers like me too )
I will have a look at shotcut though.
    Cheers.
    Bob

  6. Right I'm on v2 and there's now V3.
Couldn't find anywhere to update it, so had to uninstall and install it again. A Bit of a bind having to do this every time there's an update.

  12. Would like to know why web-based software is a no-no?
    As lordsmurf implied.

as I was originally looking at Kdenlive, I found this,, but being old and a dummy, I couldn't get my head around it......

I don't think he means that at all. Openshot is not web-based, it runs on the PC.

I think he's saying they'll probably be collecting telemetry from you; if you're OK
with that, carry on and use it.

If my interpretation is wrong, I'm sure lordsmurf will correct me.
