  1. I've seen that , for .AVI files, I should be able to right-click, then 'properties', then 'summary' tab, then look at 'details' to see the frame rate, length, etc..
When I do that though, none of those items are there....
only 'Description' and 'Origin' , with levels under them.

Is there some other way to determine avi type?

    TIA, Guys

  2. use VirtualDub, open file & get properties. PAL will generally be 25 frames/sec (fps) and NTSC 29.97 (NTSC film 23.976). Other frame rates are possible but nonstandard. For files that are VideoCD MPEG1 the dimensions will be 352x240 NTSC (both flavors) and 352x288 PAL.

The guides at left will help you identify the AVI based on what VirtualDub reports are the characteristics.
