Every time I try a search either on the front page, forum page or in a thread I end up with nothing

It doesn't matter if the search word(s) is... test or captions or mini PC it ends up in the same place.

Sorry it must be something with the browser at my end.

I am using Firefox but when I tried the site with rarely used MS Edge the search feature worked ok.

If I find the solution I'll post it in case it helps someone else with a similar issue

I don't block this site even with Adguard Adblocker. I do block cookies on a few unrelated sites but that's been the same for years. My gear is old and has worked fine for a long time. Dell Optiplex MT I5-3570 win10 pro. I just logged into VH and checked another PC (Dell Optiplex MT I7-4790) same Firefox version, add-ons and themes. The search works fine on that PC. The only difference is that I just installed Malwarebytes yesterday on the I5 with the search issue but not on the I7 that works fine. Maybe it's an unrelated coincidence but I'll check it later. Funny thing is that when I tried to use Opera to look for the problem Malwarebytes flagged my Opera browser exe file which Windows defender never did. In any case after testing on a 2nd PC I'm sure it's my problem and not with VH.

  7. I'm not having any problems with with FireFox or Opera.
I only use the portable versions & have for a long time.
I have uBlock on both & I use a very extensive hosts file.
I just use the free version of Malwarebytes so it is not active when browsing.
But my antivirus is & so is spybpt S&D specifically TeaTimer.

So I suggest you try FireFox portable & see if it works for you.

I deleted the VH cookie from Firefox and tested the search before logging back in...It worked. Logged back in and tried again and the search worked fine. Must have been a messed up cookie.

    Problem solved. Thanks guys.
