Hello everyone,
I have a .mkv video file, with the MKVToolNix software I added a Cover.
However, when I insert the file into Potplayer the cover does not appear, but only shows the generic media player icon.
Is this something that can be done? Or does Potplayer not have this function?
Thanks everyone!

I have not tested this method it is just what I found by searching.
The instructions do add cover art to the .mkv but they do not display in potplayer.
Further search say you need to Install Icaros
I do not need to use potplayer for this so I did not install.
It might work .
This tutorial will walk you through how to include the poster in your MKV files
Image preparation
1) First of all, you need to create an image file with a size of 600x800 and another smaller one with a size of 120x160 (thumbnail).
2) Name the files as follows:
For the normal poster, name it "cover.jpg"
You can also include the name of the video file in the name of the poster, but the name of the JPG file must include "cover" at the beginning of the name.
Example for the film "Metropolis": "cover-metropolis.jpg"
For the thumbnail, name the file as follows:
"small_cover.jpg" or "cover-metropolis.jpg" if you want to include the name of the movie.
Multiplexing
3) Download and install mkvtoolnix (Linux, Windows and Mac compatible) available at the following address:
4) Once installed and launched, you can upload the mkv file of the movie whose poster you want to add. In the source tab, you get details of the composition of the MKV file.
5) It is in the “attachments” tab that you can add the poster(s) of the film, the name and the format of the images.
You can limit yourself to a single poster but using a thumbnail will allow faster display.
Once the poster is added you can click on “Start multiplexing”
mkvtoolnix will create a new mkv file identical to the original file but with the addition of the poster.

Thank you so much for your help.
I followed everything to the letter, and in the end with MKVToolNix I created the video with its cover (with exact dimensions for Cover and Thumbnail). The problem is that when I put the video file in Icarus it does the exact opposite, that is, it removes the cover.
It is certainly my mistake, since I do not know the software. But on the net I read that Icarus is able to apply Cover to videos.
Is it true?
I have not found any tutorial on the internet and youtube.
