    Almost all my files I have are .avi and when I burn them some work fine but others you can only hear the audio but you can't see any video???

    I use Nero to burn my VCD's.

    Anyone know how I can make the video appear as well???

    Explain in more detail exactly what you did with the avi file!

    Does it play fine in wmp or some other software player?
    What guide did you use?

    Yes I can play them on wmp. I can also play them on divx.

    I really dont know what to do, I'm new to this. I didn't use any guides.

    When you convert these avi files are you only using Nero?

    If so try this guide http://www.vcdhelp.com/divxtovcd.htm
    I follow the guide and at the end I burn with NEO instead of vcd easy
