  1. Having seen that extracting video information sometimes requires complex Python scripts, I am curious which editing software is the best? Just Python? Anaconda or miniconda? Maybe, PyCharm? Which software do you use to write and execute code?

    You don't need an IDE just to run scripts. You can perfectly run them from the command line using python command directly. If sometimes you just want to edit a few lines of code/variables/etc. Notepad is enough. If instead you want to code from scratch a script to do something specific, an IDE is indeed important. Pycharm is a good choice.
