    Hi,
    Is there any program out there that will let me pause or stop in the middle of encoding so I can resume encoding later?

    TMPGEnc can be paused and resumed, but you cannot actually quit the program.

    If you quit the program, you will have a partial mpg file resulted, therefore, you can readjust your source range and continue from the point you stopped. You will need to join the resulted mpegs afterwards... But this I don't call pausing...
