  1. Hi, can anyone help with a problem I'm having with the Internet on my Lenovo laptop running Windows 11. On the taskbar no WiFi is showing only plane mode which is greyed out. I've tried a few options but nothing I've tried will fix the problem. It was working two days ago after I shut down for the evening but the next morning I couldn't connect to WiFi. I've had the problem before but I was able to turn it back on again, however this time I can't.

Curious, I replied yesterday to exactly the same issue on a dutch forum also with a Lenovo laptop?

Tweakers: WiFi suddenly disappeared from Lenovo laptop

    Try this?
Shut down the laptop using this method:
How To Geek: Shutting Down Doesn’t Fully Shut Down Windows 10 (But Restarting Does)

After shutdown fully disconnect power adapter, and possible do a so called "pinhole reset".
    See if that helps?

I tried that method but it didn't seem to work. The only holes that are on my Lenovo laptop are on the left side where the two USB ports are located, none of them did anything when I used a thin needle. I unplugged the power cable and rebooted but nothing happened that solved the problem, I don't think it reset anything maybe because there is no reset pinhole on my laptop. I did notice after that the bluetooth icon appeared on the taskbar settings before it didn't before, but no wifi there.

Not rebooting but do a FULL SHUTDOWN as described on the previous mentioned site/link.
Possible turning it of completely will reset/reactivate the card?
Indeed, not all laptops have such a reset pinhole.

These are just the things i would try when facing these kind of problems.

If this is a laptop, you probably have a keyboard Hotkey that enables or disables Wifi capability in BIOS, and if it's disabled there, it is not available in Windows. Check your manual.

Thanks for that, but I did think that it may've been a key that I had pressed which turned it off or hid it, but I've tried every key and hotkey.

  8. Search for a key with a wifi symbol.
Could be a key that must be activated with the F2 key.

Go to the Windows Device manager and see if your WiFi adapter is visible there under the network adapter category and what state it is showing ?
Also check at "hidden devices" if it is not showing there.

Couldn't find the wifi adaptor in the list under Network adaptor:

Tried that but still nothing. Clicked on reset and rebooted but still nothing. It now shows bluetooth in the taskbar setting but no wifi.

It says in the Network settings that my PC doesn't have a Ethernet, Wifi or cellular data connection.

    https://support.lenovo.com/
on a wired connection and read about "Lenovo Service Bridge."

Not sure if this method was included but read to get back the wifi in a lenova laptop was to press Fn+F5 and the wifi status will display.

There's no wifi symbol on the function keys. I've tried every F key using Fn but none of them activates the wifi.

  24. Here's what the WiFi symbol looks like on my Dell laptop. Every laptop that I have ever owned had this symbol on some key somewhere on the keyboard.

  27. Here's a WiFi note referring to your model on Lenovo website:

Also on some Lenovo's the WiFi symbol on the keyboard is an airplane symbol.
