I have this Sony EDV-7300 and I think it's getting worse over time, I have this zebra pattern noise all over the screen especially on commercial tapes, ED tapes have less noise but not as bad as regular Beta tapes, I've attached a screen video, notice when I pause, the video output has the pattern paused (this VCR has digital pause by the way no mechanical pause), So this is clearly in the RF section not the video section otherwise the pattern will still be in the video signal when playing the paused frame.

I opened the RF canister but I can't see anything out of the ordinary, caps visually look normal, Any Beta experts out there?
The VCR is connected directly to a HP monitor via S-Video, Composite has the exact same issue.

    No news update:

Recapped entirely the power supply board, the power regulator board and the RF board, no change at all. The thing about this VCR is it doesn't have the mechanical pause to isolate the source of the noise, it's a digital pause, In pause I see a remanence of that noise, but since the RF board is recapped this leads me to believe the problem is in the DI-9 (in the service manual) analog to digital to analog processing unit, and in the analog front end precisely, if it was the analog out the noise would move even in pause.
As funny as it sounds, I may need a vhsdecode system to troubleshoot this sucker, It gives me the option to visually see the video signal coming from the RF board.
