I have this Sony EDV-7300 and I think it's getting worse over time, I have this zebra pattern noise all over the screen especially on commercial tapes, ED tapes have less noise but not as bad as regular Beta tapes, I've attached a screen video, notice when I pause, the video output has the pattern paused (this VCR has digital pause by the way no mechanical pause), So this is clearly in the RF section not the video section otherwise the pattern will still be in the video signal when playing the paused frame.
I opened the RF canister but I can't see anything out of the ordinary, caps visually look normal, Any Beta experts out there?
The VCR is connected directly to a HP monitor via S-Video, Composite has the exact same issue.
