Ok I'm getting this all wrong and probably expecting to much, so can someone give me some pointers please:
I captured from Video using VideoStudio to Pal VCD (Mpeg) format and after burning the VCD the quality on playback through a stand alone DVD Player and large TV is Very blocky.
Capturing to Avi produces such a large file and when playing back it was very jerky, like playing back on an old 286 ?
Should I be capturing to a better quality Mpeg format and then converting to VCD format, or am I completely on the wrong track.
Im usisng:
Duron 1.2gig on a Jetway MB
196meg SDram
WinTV Go
Thanks.
Tony.

what I've guessed reading posts in this forum is that you get best quality capturing uncompressed (or huffy o at least mjpeg), then convert to mpeg using tmpgenc.
blocks appear as well, but picture is better.
if you play with filters you can reduce blockiness a bit.
