Hi,
I'm in the running for a new NAS system.
It will just be used as a storage where everyone in our house can have access to and second, to store my movie files.
My old Synology DS411 is sometimes too slow to use Plex media server. Although there's no transcoding activated, the picture stutters, gives errors about a too slow server/network etc.
Will the Asustor mentioned in title be able to do the job? I know it's not suitable for transcoding functionality, but just for playing back 1:1 the existing (4K HDR, Dolby Atmos) videofile. I have a 1Mbit homenetwork, planning to upgrade to 2,5.
Models who're able to transcode costs 200€+. Just for transcoding I will never use.
Very curious about experiences...
thanks!
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!
