My new ATI All In Wonder Radeon 7500 is arriving tomorrow and i have a question about drivers. I know that there are new drivers available on ATI's web site. Is it best to install the drivers and MMC that come with the card, get everything working all right then install the new drivers. Because the drivers and software taht come with it are on cd and install at once. Also i am running Windows 2000 Pro. Any help will be greatly aprpeciated.

Generally speaking, the newer drivers are more stable.

Try to stay away from the new WDM drivers, though. They don't allow you to capture at anything higher than (random)X240. There's some kind of work around, but I'm too lazy to find it and do it. I just did a clean OS install and installed an older version of the video/WDM drivers.

The new video and WDM drivers are released separately, so I only updated the video ones.

so i can go ahead and update everything but the WDM drivers. Is that right? I have already doenlaoded all the drivers and software available for this new card from ATi's web site. Also i forgot to mention in my previous post that i currently have a VooDoo 3 3000 card and a ATI Tv-Wonder card.

  4. I also have Windows 2000 Pro and have downloaded latest driver- 5.13.1.6043 with no problem for AIW 7500.

thats good. i currently have a TV-Wonder tuner card and am very happy with it. That's why i went with an ATI card. It was time to upgrade my video card (VooDoo 3 3000) and the ATI AIW Radeon 7500 looked to me.
