[edit] Nevermind, it's just one more of the stupid bugs my TV has. A simple seek back and forth, made the audio play...
Hi
I have a video file with the following audio that plays fine on my TV.
I have another video file with the following audio that DOESN'T play on my TV (plays fine on PC).Code:Audio ID : 2 Format : E-AC-3 JOC Format/Info : Enhanced AC-3 with Joint Object Coding Commercial name : Dolby Digital Plus with Dolby Atmos Codec ID : A_EAC3
I believe the Codec ID is the "issue" preventing my TV from playing it.Code:Audio ID : 3 Format : E-AC-3 JOC Format/Info : Enhanced AC-3 with Joint Object Coding Commercial name : Dolby Digital Plus with Dolby Atmos Codec ID : ec-3
I could be totally wrong though.
Can I convert A_EAC3 to ec-3?
Are they actually different or is it just a naming thing?

Interesting.
No, first is mkv, second is mp4.
As I said, I have many bugs with this TV and one of them is: often mkv container videos have some random stutters that can completely block my TV and I have to turn it off and on again. I have found a "solution" for this, with changing the container to mp4. This, however, as far as I remember, never introduced this newer bug of no sound.
I have now noticed that when the container is changed from mkv to mp4, the codec ID changes in the MediaInfo. -
The stutter could be a muxing problem.
Try to remux with clever FFmpeg-GUI to mkv or mp4.
Maybe helps.
