You might remember a few weeks ago i was asking about the a04/104.
I decided to get a 104 but i can't find a u.s. online retailer that will ship one to ireland!
Can anyone tell me the name of a good u.s. retailer that will ship one to my country? I can't use a british one over the bad exchange rate.

Come on, someone must know a good us online retailer that will ship a pionneer dvr-104 to ireland!
-
why do you need one from US?Doesn't a European DVD-Writer also do?Here in Germany they go for around 400Euro.
-
How much are they in US (inkl. transport/tax/customs)?
English is here in Germany not a real problem.Everytime you'll find someone who speaks and understands it.
But if the US price is so much lower, it's ok to buy them from overseas (what about warranty BTW)? -
The price would'nt be that much lower i suppose, and the shipping would cost more from the u.s.
Do you know the name of a good online german retailer that sells it and has a good understanding of english? -
Here is one online-shop:
http://www.computeruniverse.net/
I bought some stuff (VCR/DV camera) from them, they are reliable. You can switch to English.
search(Suchen) for pioneer, they sell it for 505 Euro (inkl VAT).
The price I quoted was from my local dealer, they don't sell it online.
I can get it in my town for about 400+16% vat=464Euro.
(That is of course the bulk version). If we somehow agree on way of payment, I could send this one to you (don't know about shipping costs). -
man there's A LOT of cheap shops in UK :P
I live in The Netherlands but I get all my DVD-R shit in UK
http://secure.discreetservice.com/cgi-bin/bigpockets/BUR1008.html?id=IYCeBbvu
and there's LOT MORE
noone can beat a 0.85 DVD-R like some shops sell in UK
DVD-R is like 10 EUR in France because half of the price is tax
SO DON'T COMPLAIN -
The price for this item Dvr 104 is indeed very low and consired it's bundling with media is a bargain. So where is the catch (if any)?
-
Thanks for telling me about the site Dragonsf, i'll probably buy it from there unless i can find another european site where it is cheaper.Does anyone know of any european sites that sell the 104 for cheaper than €500?
ronin, the catch about uk shops is the sterling/euro exchange rate.
it is not that important for dvd-r's but for more expensive stuff it is.For example something that cost £120 british would cost €200 as the exchange rate is €1=60p british. Oh, where i live dvd-r's cost €12 and only 21% of that is tax!
