Help downloading video from CBC Gem

Hi!

I used to download videos from CBC by looking for the master.m3u8 file, but I think the site has changed and now I can't find a way to do it.

I'd like to grab video+sub for the show Plan B season 2 episode 1 https://gem.cbc.ca/plan-b?autoplay=1

Appreciate any help.

I'm trying to get this video with yt-dlp, but I can't figure it out.

I found the mpd link and tried a few things.

First I tried the obvious:

yt-dlp https://cbcrcott-aws-toutv.akamaized.net/out/v1/2a104a4e93ad44308db6eaa324309cb5/97c7a...s=true&lang=fr

But no success. I get this error: " Unable to download webpage: HTTP Error 400: Bad Request (caused by <HTTPError 400: Bad Request>)"

Then I tried adding the -N8 parameter that you used in your code. No success.

Then I tried replacing index-multi-drm.mpd with index-aes.m3u8. Still no success.

Is it related to the fact that is DRM protected? If so, is there any way to bypass this obstacle (like with a keyid).

Or what am I missing?

A few more questions I might need your help as well, since I'm new to yt-dlp:

1- I only installed yt-dlp, do I need anything else to install in order to download the videos?
2- The website gem.cbc.ca requires a user and password to access the videos, that should be included in the prompt as well? How or where?
3- To have access to the m3u8 I'm using a Chrome extension (The Stream Detector https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/the-stream-detector/iakkmkmhhckcmoiibcfjnooibphlobak) that generates a list of links ready for yt-dlp but not sure if that is ok or which one to pick from the generated links:
