Hello everyone, I am a beginner in video processing.
I use Staxrip for its filters, and when exporting, I set a lossless 422 10 bit output.
However, during processing, it shows me:
avs2pipemod[info]: writing 2216 frames of 24000/1001 fps, 1920x1080,
sar 0:0, YUV-420-planar-8bit progressive video.
I suppose it does all video processing in 420 8 bit.
I would like it to do it in 422 10bit, since I use chromasmooth tools I would like it to retain as much chroma detail as possible in the process,
is it possible ?

If the filters you use only work in 420 it shouldn't really make much of a difference whether Avisynth or the encoder does the 420=>422 conversion.
Why not use staxrip and what could I use instead?
Since you wrote about avs2pipemod, I assume you use some Avisynth filters.
MeGui is probably the next easy to use GUI supporting Avisynth.
No clue how it performs nowadays, since I haven't used MeGui for 15+years either.
Depending on your understanding, motivation and preferences, you could write your own scripts or use different tools like FFAStrans or Hybrid (both require more understanding of the matter and are not really meant for beginners).
If the stuff that you want to do does not require Avisynth there are even more encoding guis.
