Download video from VTM / VRT in Belgium - how?

Hello all,

I'm looking for possible methods to download from the Belgian VTM Go and VRT Nu sites. I am an older guy with not much technical knowledge. Would there be some kind of tutorial on how to do that myself without having to tape the stream in real time? Or alternatively, would Streamfab work with them?

yes, it is exactly those I'd be interested in. Streaming them works perfectly, even without VPN (I'm in Germany).

Ok. They are way way too many for me to download and place them on a shareable link for you. So here are your 636 download commands

To run a random command that I provided you need to download and place in the same folder the following:
- N_m3u8DL-RE
- mp4decrypt
- ffmpeg

Then open a terminal in the folder where you placed the previous programs and run the commands I gave you.

If you want to download lots of free content in the future by yourself from vtmgo.be/vrt.be you can use this downloader tool:

You can download on your own from vtmgo using the tool I gave you. Regardless here are your 155 download commands.

I can't use the site because it's mostly Belgian restricted content. And they're picky about free VPNs. You can learn the decryption steps from the stickies of this forum section

You could try the addon or learn the steps yourself (or just wait for someone else to drop you the keys/commands). I can't help you more than that since I can't watch the content directly.

Edit: you should really post there any downloading questions since you'll most likely get zero answers on the newbie section.

No problem. It’s not that big of a deal, all I do is run a downloader at the press of a click, and is finished in seconds/minutes. It's not like I wasted days to get all these hundreds of commands.

By the way, I did check more closely out of curiosity about that site. People from other countries can watch their content as long as they confirm their account using a Belgian phone number via sms code. I tried with virtual free phone numbers and none worked. If you did such a thing with your phone and you can watch their content, then if you gave me in private your credentials, I could take a look at your site. If not, then the posts I gave you are enough to do it by yourself.

You're right. The Belgian RTL site doesn't let me stream anything anymore either, despite having ExpressVPN which usually works for everything. They must have changed something because I taped some song performances from the site about 6 months ago.
