I own BD-ES5000. My goal is to abolish the region lock it has in order to play one region 1 dvd i have.

However, when I try to, after turing off and on again, to press the REPEAT button, nothing happens.

I've tried holding the button, pressing the button and entering the code while the bd was booting. Nothing worked. What am I doing wrong?
