  1. Just want to let you all know that I am a really noobie at this so please bear with me on this.

Here is my problem..I just burned Starwars Episode IV from DVD to my hard drive I follwed Sefy's guide etc.

The picture quality turned out great but the sound is a little off..I hear the constant starwars theme playing in the background and then the odd voice will appear too.. but I dont hear eveything all the characters are saying... like dart vader you can hear him breath from time to time but no voices. and no sounds of the guns etc.

Please help on this one if you can.

    Really Appreciate this..

only the first episode of star wars has been authorized for DVD...you must have a bootleg copy..sometimes those are very poorly authored

anywayz, back to your problem...did you play the actual DVD and listen to the audio...did any of these problems show up when playing the actual DVD?

if not, load the vob files in dvd2avi and preview it (f5)...post wut dvd2avi's info box sez about the audio....

also, wut audio settings are you using in dvd2avi...your problem description was kinda vague..so more info is good

just to let you know....since the video type is INTERLACED, you need to turn force film off in dvd2avi and use the NTSC template (not NTSC FILM template)

doesn't seem like there's anything wrong here...did you play the .wav file after u extracted it w/ dvd2avi? was there anything wrong with it? if there was, you can try another track to extract...

otherwise, if the .wav file is good, then in tmpgenc config options, make sure your sampling frequency is 44.1 khtz (need to downsample for some dvd players), channel mode is stero, and bitrate is 224 kbit/s
