Losing frames when encoding with HandBrake

Hey guys. I've ripped some BDs I have using MakeMKV. The resulting files are 29.97fps and look buttery smooth (looks like 60 to my eyes).
I opened them up with HandBrake and encoded them as h265/mp4, primarily so I can burn in some SRT files I've made.
I've kept the FPS as "same as source" while trying constant and variable, but the resulting file doesn't look nearly as smooth.
I opened my encode and the original MKV in MPV, and going frame by frame, the encode advances twice as fast, it looks like every second frame is being lost.
Does anyone know what would cause this? I'll leave a pastebin of the log of the test encode.

It probably converted 29.97i to 29.97p, using the single rate deinterlacing/decombing.
This would lose half of the temporal (motion smoothness) resolution.

Instead, set the deinterlace to yadif/bob and set the framerate to 59.94/constant
