  1. mp4 url fetched from FetchV : https://d1v1gqjht5uu1.cloudfront.net/media/10W6w2LMqBNvx/f5ca9679/video_720_fuowr_1872.mp4
but has this weird overlay : Image

The actual fragmented mpd urls (from Video DownloadHelper) : Image

Is the file corrupted or the url is not correct? How to go about it

  2. The mpd says, the file needs to be decrypted.

Looked around the forum on where to go next from here. So basically , I need a DRM decryptor iirc. Stumbled upon this thread. is there any alternative for the Decryptor series by A_n_g_e_La for MacOS . Here start.html has instruction only for Linux/Win

  4. There's no Linux/Win specific instructions in there, in fact MacOS is so much closer to Linux than Windows will ever be...

But the stock Python version even in MacOS Sonoma is pretty aged and soon EOL (10/25), so I'd suggest to install a recent version of Python-3.12 via Mac Ports or Homebrew (I personally use Mac Ports). Everything else mentioned in start.html is available for MacOS as well: ffmpeg, mkvtoolnix via Mac Ports, N_m3u8DL-RE via Github-Repo, mp4decrypt from Bento's home page and other sources.

Not specifically related to the thread but hopefully more useful stuff. Didn't know where to post as I can't send you a DM. Hope you don't mind A_n_g_e_l_a but I made some enhancements to ITVX.py.

It now optionally takes a list of URLs from stdin as input. If this is given the inputs/ outputs are suppressed with the exception of just echoing back each downloaded file path after download, in case this needs to be piped into something else like a renamer. Small accompanying shell script for a one-off download included in the ZIP that accepts a filename as argument, stdin or nothing, which produces the original behaviour.

Thought about putting the source up on github?

Thanks for the scripts, they work great.

Hi, A_n_g_e_La , after a failed fiddling with KeyDive (error:KeyDive: Unable to detect Widevine, see: https://github.com/hyugogirubato/KeyDive/blob/main/docs/PACKAGE.md#drm-info). (Using MuMuPlayer emulator, not Android Studio, incase if this matters) -> [edit] : quick google says android emulators don't have DRM so maybe that?

I finally decided to try your Hell3.py guide. However I am stuck in the initial steps of finding urls. I am on Mac|Brave browser and unable to retrieve MPD URL and cURL of license server request. I tried all the filters to no avail, tried the POST method too, nothing shows up. Is this method deprecrated. However, XHR filter shows a list of .mp4 files.

People are willing to help but not baby step you. This is so basic to decryption that if you don't know already, why are you here? Read my threads in the stickies or google search or ask chatGPT. Do anything rather than bothering another busy human.

    Its behind a login.

Anyways, as a first milestone, I managed to get the "keys" using KeyDive(on the demo drm), will probably dig around and figure out what to do next.

For vdocipher you need a custom python script and a CDM from a real device (not banned).
