When playing Rec.709/SRGB sources, will colors appear more saturated on a display designed for the Rec.709/SRGB color space than on a display designed for the BT.2020 color space after setting it to its Rec.709/SRGB mode? Why is it that on my HP SPECTRE x360 15T-df0070NR 2018/2019 model laptop's internal AMOLED display, when I have HDR turned off in Windows 10 and Windows 11, Rec.709/SRGB looks fantastic, yet when HDR is turned on, Rec.709/SRGB appears undersaturated, yet HDR BT.2020 looks fantastic? Why is it that on my Sony Bravia XR85X90CL 2023 model Full Array Local Dimming LED display, with color space set to Auto, Rec.709/SRGB sources appear undersaturated, while HDR BT.2020 sources look fantastic? Why am I having less difficulty with Rec.709/SRGB on my laptop than on my home theater display?
