My ADVC is permantly connected via firewire and I only get that message if it is not turned on. Oh well.

Thanks also for your help and support on this. I also ordered RF shielding foil about a month ago but it still has not arrived, so hope it will be anytime soon and it will help me partially stabilize the image.
