When converting a PAL MPEG2 to NTSC MPEG2 using TMPGEnc, does anyone else notice a gradual audio sync problem?

I tried demuxing audio from video using TMPGEnc, then changing audio frame rate to same as target video (NTSC) frame rate of 29.97. Then used TMPGEnc to transcode mpeg2 video to NTSC format and chose the uncompressed 29.97fps audio file as the sound source. The audio in the resulting MPEG was totally out of sync... I converted a small clip towards the end of the movie using the source range selection in TMPGEnc. When I played the resulting MPEG, the video converted fine, but the audio was like it started at the beginning.

  3. I had the same problem myself until I discovered that my ntsc dvd player could also playback pal vcds.

Burn a svcd with nero and click on your tv system. (Mine is NTSC) and then load up your video file. Don't bother converting ntsc to pal or vice versa. Chances are that your player will play the file WHATEVER tv format it is.
