  1. Hi I have allready encoded a few movies. I tried to encode 2 different movies that I downloaded off winmx with both Tmpge and Nero. A window pops up that says "can't open file, or unsuported". I haven't had this problem before. I had no problem watching them on media player.

  2. Hi

    Try Virtualdub.
    1) Open the avi, goto Audio, choose full processing mode.
    2) Still in audio choose conversion and select 44100Hz (if it is anything else)
    3) Still in audio choose compression and choose no compression (PCM).
    4) Choose file, and save wav.
    5) Give it any name.
    6) Open Tmpgenc and do as usual, but choose the wav you just created for sound input.

    Hope this works.
    Best regards

  3. Some avi files are DIVX or SMR and some of the older ones are INDEO. Usually if it wont load in TMPG you don't have the right codec installed.

  5. In TMPGENC, under Environment Settings, go to VFAPI settings and make sure that your DirectShow filters have a much higher priority than zero (you do that by right-clicking on the filter and giving it a higher priority).

    That should help.

You also may want to download and install the latest Nimo Codec
