I installed AnyDVD HD on a couple of my Windows 7 PCs.
It has been a while but I believe all you have to do is install it & double click on the key.
At least this works for me.
I did purchase a lifetime license from slysoft.
I do not know if the Redfox.bz version works this way.
You probably know this but AnyDVD HD or plain conflicts with DVDFab products.
So far no conflicts with XReveal. -
i had a licence from slysoft (were is it on my hard drives ?) and a redfox version too.
i was worried if it had to connect with a server to get installed. i'd be ruined.
well, you got me to breathe a bit easier. i hope i'll be able to use the redfox version if a re-install is needed.
i think the last version of the redfox edition of the program. can still read newer 4k discs if you have the keydb file located on your computer. but it's no help, for newer blu rays.
thanks for replying.
and if we ever tell anyone we're going to rip a disc. they'll look at us like we're insane.
i don't have anything dvd fab related on the comp. so no worries on that end.

If this helps any :
My slysoft key is named: Key.AnyDVDHD.
Maybe do a search for that.
I don't know what the redfox edition uses.
After being cheated by slysoft I decided to not do business with Redfox.bz.
Seeing they are now out of business. That seems like it was a good idea.
More customers cheated.
I ask about the contract Redfox.bz had with slysoft to use the copyrighted name AnyDVD HD.
I was told on their forum this was none of my business.
IMO this was just a SCAM by the slysoft author to get rid of the lifetime licenses.
I believe he still owned Redfox.bz & now has done it a second time.
If the Redfox.bz version has to connect with a server to access a keydb you are out of luck. -
redfox uses some slightly different labeling but i see the file in the redfox folder that's labeled for registration.
also it's important to keep your keydb file updated/
mostly been using xreveal so i didn't notice.
anyway the last version i had of keydb in the folder i had anydvd pointed to. was dated aug 2025. i tried a 4k disc that came out in late september and i got a bunch of errors/it wouldn't work.
so today i got the current keydb from that came out in december of this year. and now the 4k plays.
so without servers doing things automatically it pays to keep your keydb up to date.
not going to delete the program to test if a re-install goes well. but if not out of luck i'll be indeed.
if slysoft/redfox had the same owner. i guess i'm the "perfect" costumer since i had for lifetime licenses twice. *gulp* -

ok try this, open anydvd.
click on settings then go to video blu ray.
next go to uhd.
when you click on uhd to the right you should see "path to external key file"
click the folder icon to point the program to the folder you placed the keyfile in.
website that has keyfile
http://fvonline-db.bplaced.net
i just picked "keydb.cfg - Language English (39580 entries)"
unzipped it and put it in folder by itself. and once anydvd could access the file. newer 4k works fine.
always the possibility that something isn't in the database. or isn't in the database the same day it hits retail. but basically 4k/uhd works fine with this method.
let me know if it works on your end !
