Remote for VCR JVC HR-J441MS

A neighbor was kind enough to bring me a VCR JVC HR-J441MS. It is 4 Head VCR and I need a 6 Head one, but I will see what I can do with it.
It came without a remote so using it is going to be a nightmare.
Opened it and it was surprisingly quite clean inside. Inserted a cassette that I can sacrifice and it loaded, played. Made a bit of noise during fast forward but that is not unusual.
The manual doesn't say the exact model of the remote and on Amazon this VCR model is not known.
Can anyone suggest a JVC universal remote for VCR's or the specific one for HR-J441MS and where to order it?
I have a Sony universal remote somewhere at home so maybe this will help with basic functions, but I can't remember where I put it last time I saw it.

The shipment cost alone is 63 USD. Not really worth it for a 4 head VCR.

Gosh, any universal remote will work fine. Depending on what remotes you have saved over the years, many of them have codes for all the major brands built in. Just use one of them. The key is to be able to activate the menu.

2/4/6 heads has nothing to do with audio. It is for better playback at all three speeds; for better special effects (e.g., slow motion or fast search).

I took a quick look at the manual, and this is a pretty bad VCR to use for any sort of VHS transfer. It lacks an Edit switch (which defeats the "enhancement" circuits which actually degrade the image). That is really important. It has no S-Video output. That is also incredibly important.

It is a multi-format VCR, which means it can do NTSC, PAL, and SECAM. However, if you only need one of those formats, you'd probably be better off with a VCR dedicated to that one format.

I'm a big fan of JVC VCRs for transferring tapes, but you need something much further up in their product line.

Yes , any universal remote should work for the basic functions.
But often then some "essential" function keys can be missing.
For example i have here a Hifi Stereo VCR from my thrift shop which came without a remote.
It works with my universal remotes but it is missing the audio track selection and auto tracking function keys.

Possible you could try a local thrift shop?
Assuming they still using the same remote VCR codes for this more recent model.
Thrift shops are always a good place for other video related stuff too.

But then as mentioned, not worth to invest much if it is such a basic (mono) model VCR.
S-Video/VHS of course is preferable but a quality regular VHS VCR also can give good results for transfers.

I need a HI-FI stereo VCR. I don't care if it is 4 head or 6 heads, I just thought I might have a better chance of finding one with 6 heads.
