  1. Ok, I am fairly new to ripping dvd's myself, I was following Sefy's newbie guide, from this site, The vobs were ripped fine, it is a widescreen movie, Easy Rider (1.85:1)in case anyone is interested. Well, I went to use DVD2AVI like it says in the guide, it all went fine, but I am losing the black bars on the top and bottom of the movie thus stretching the frame to fill the now empty space resulting in a movie that looks like it was pulled on top and bottom, stretching the picture, I tried to use Flask but all that i've come across are problems so far when making it output using avisynth, at least while following the other guide on this site. If anyone could point me to a guide that uses different programs, or help me with my problem I would be so thankful, please, i know helping a newbie sucks, but it owuld mean a lot. Thanks
