I have been using a local email service provider for many years but few months ago their servers crashed and all the majority of their customers email messages got deleted because they (the customers) never backed them up. Luckily for me I download all messages to my computer and delete the ones on their servers so I wasn't affected much. Anyway they charge a lot $7 a month so I am looking for an alternative.
I also have Gmail account but I don't like it.
I am looking for an alternative. I don't care about storage as I don't leave anything on the servers.
Your recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

  2. I've been using aplus.net for many years. Three email addresses for $3 a month. I use Thunderbird as a local email client, POP3 to download (and delete on server) email for local storage. New email can be read with their online browser based reader when I'm not at home.

Thanks. Looks like a good option.
But I need to create or use a domain name that I already have.

You can do that there. I brought my own domain name when I signed up.
