  1. When I use dvd2avi and after that Tmpeg to compress a ripped movie to a SVCD file, I `ve got a wrong size. The edges at the left and the right site are missing (not really 16:9 and not really 4:3) and for example all the people and cars a very long and tall. I kept all the settings in DVD2AVI as they are and in TMpeg I always take the SVCD settings and swith them to"Keep aspect ratio" (mostly 16:9)...Please help

  2. SOURCE VIDEO SETTINGS:

source aspect ratio should either be 16:9 525 line NTSC or 4:3 525 line NTSC (assuming you ripping region 1 NTSC DVD)....you'll know whether it's 16:9 or 4:3 cuz dvd2avi will tell you

image positioning method: full screen (preserve aspect ratio)

    OUTPUT VIDEO SETTINGS:

output video: 4:3 DISPLAY, NTSC (assuming you watching on regular TV and not widescreen TV)
