  1. SVCD File structures have me confused,

Ive come across 3 different types...Please bear with me...

The folders on the discs seem to vary..

    1 EXT......................empty
    MPEG2...................mpeg
    SEGMENT...............empty
    SVCD....................5 SVD files/1 search DAT

    2
    EXT......................scandata.DAT
    MPEG2...................mpeg
    SEGMENT...............empty
    SVCD....................3 SVD files
    NFO/notepad file

    3
    EXT......................scandata.DAT
    MPEG2...................mpeg
    SVCD....................5 SVD files/1 search DAT
    (no segment folder)

Is one of these just plain wrong ??

The first two play no bother at all, but the third one won't play. It won't even let me copy the Mpeg onto my PC (invalid MS-DOS Functin) ?
Ive tried hardware & software players, no joy :o(

It does however, play in my mates Standalone player ??

Can anyone be arsed to shed some light on this for me, PLEASE ?

    Smiggs.

It might be helpful (or it might not).
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
