you're absolutely right but I assure you that there are many people here who don't know how to use python and so they don't even keep it installed, so for convenience that's perfect. If they have doubts they don't use. But it's a simple tool to read the BLOB and figure out if REAL or EMU

If you get a message that Widevine was not detected, it means that Widevine's PSSH could not be obtained and is most likely another problem than the one described above.
Please check the console on the Video window for logs beginning with "[PSSH]".
If not, the extension is not getting Widevine's PSSH correctly.
In this case, please make sure that the EME protocol is indeed Widevine and not Playready, etc.

It is also possible that there is simply a lag in the transfer of information from the content script to the popup, so when this problem occurs, closing the popup and reopening may has possibility of display the information correctly.

I have just tried again on Polsat website in Vivaldi 5.7.2921.60 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
(Yes I know its outdated, but works on everything else apart from PolSat)


I have disabled all 3 and left WV enabled in "Tampermonkey".

Tried different websites, and they all work and plugin detects WV, just not on Polsat in Vivaldi.

The only thing with PSSH in the Video window/Console section is:

It's only cause there was compatibility problem with one streaming site ......
Only used for browsing streaming sites .....

General browsing is on up to date browser with NoScript/uBlock Origin plug-ins only
and DoH enabled with DNS blocking or via up to date TorBrowser

On the main machine when ON running update/upgrade before anything and on new kernel followed by reboot ...

But I share your frustration with out of date soft, sometimes its for many other reasons that it's not been updated .....

If you have both tamperMonkey with the EME logger, and wvg enabled, it may cause a conflict as they are both trying to call the MediaKeySession.prototype.generateRequest method to grab init data (and attempt to grab the pssh value).

I would consider trying to remove the tampermonkey script for now if this is your situation.

i am a newbie, yes, but i dump more than 50 cdm's , maybe i was able to convert into wvd also, and i was able to read the logs.
for me is unuseful to post same error log like others. this wont change the error.

mediaset/infinity are ok now.
I will test other providers.
windows 11 pro : chrome browser v124(latest)+ latest extension

Requires CDM from Physical device and make sure use Firefox.
Emulator's one will not work on A****n

Hello FoxRefire,
just a modification in your popup which no longer displays the button when you have an error during opening to detect the pssh. (see image)

I'm just wondering if it will work with EMU CDM or if it's still needed for a real device CDM.
