    Hi all!

For years i used a Samsung TV, and played many media files via usb, and rarely i add a incompatible file.

Recently bought a Hisense Smart Tv, and only the original firmware doens't give me trouble. After any update, the tv will play some videos and other wont (same audio/video codecs).

Since thats the biggest use for me, i ask what are the brands that not only read all files, but keep reading after software updates?

    Thanks!

My LG (about 5 years old) plays most anything I stick in it. My LG UHD 4K player sucks at playing. My Roku does a good job of playing most stuff. If looking at a tv try to look at the specs and see if it lists what type of files it plays.

    Thanks for your answer,

Thats exactly what i do. Before buying i see the manual to know what files does it play.

The problem in Hisense, is that the Tv does play...until an update. After that it wont read all of then (maybe 50%).

Thats why i ask what brand really reads and doesnt stop reading after firmware updates

My Sony plays just about everything. Although I play my files via a Zidoo media player and separate A/V and speakers.
