  1. Hey there I'm trying to convert a pretty rare film that I can only find in 4k MKV file format to vob and then eventually burn to DVD.
My go to DVD author has always been winxdvd but it said the file format was unsupported so I re-encoded the MKV file to MPEG-2 using shutter encoder with 2 passes and maximum quality settings, but now when I try and import the resultant MPEG-2 file into winxdvd the program immediately crashes!
Any help with what I need to do to burn this 4k MKV file to DVD would be very much appreciated? Thanks

Try AVStoDVD. Set your NTCS/PAL choice in the Preferences and save before you build the project.
BY default the program builds the Video_ts folder, once it's created you can test the playback before burning to disk

This program installer will also install Avisynth. However if you already have this installed you can deselect it
    during the install
