I cant get the GV-USB2 to work on my new pc. The device shows up in vdub but when I select it, I get an error popup that says that virtualdub cannot connect to capture device drivers.
Ive tried both the current and previous version of the drivers, and different versions of vdub and vdub2 but no joy.
I have enabled camera in privacy settings.
The dongle shows up in device manager and in vdub but for some reason vdub just cant connect to the drivers.
This briefly happened when i first tried to use it with my old pc but then it just started to work for whatever reason.
Luckily I still have my old pc that I can use for capturing, but its a bit of a ball ache transferring the video from pc to pc so I want to be able to use my new one for capturing.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas?

You may have already tried any of these:
- unplug / replug the dongle
- reboot the PC
- in Vdub select device 0 Microsoft WDM .....
- Use AmarecTV instead of Vdub
- Download and install VirtualVCR and configure from there -
Can you make it work with graphedit ? Perhaps you're missing a filter of some sort

Yes already tried 1st 3 suggestions with no success. I havent tried AmerecTV and VirtualVCR though as I want to be using capture software that has a histogram.
It doesnt work with graphedit either.

do you have "Allow apps to access your camera" turned on ??

Sounds like a driver issue to me, try to find either the one supplied with the card or an updated version.
Also try to change of USB port (usually good ports (that deliver plenty of Volts) are on the back side on the unit) and disconnect most usb things you have connected*** DIGITIZING VHS / ANALOG VIDEOS SINCE 2001**** GEAR: JVC HR-S7700MS, TOSHIBA V733EF AND MORE -

Yes, my works on USB 3 here. I recall a poster saying the USB 2 standard was rigorously applied, whereas USB 3 has become a bit of a free-for-all.

So it was an under voltage issue hehe. (Card detected but not enough juice to actually work) What can i say, not surprised. I've always avoided usb cards and lived happy. Actually i lie i got an hauppauge Nova-T (Dvb-T) working daily for + 10 years now. Must be a world record.
