    Hello there.

Would it be possible to change the case of a microcassette to place the roll on a normal cassette case and play it?

    Possible? Yes.
Would you be able to listen to it? No.
Could you digitize it? Sort of...

Because a microcassette has a thinner backing thickness, it would be more prone to breaking when put in a standard cassette shell. If you can get past that, the problem is that microcassettes play at 1/2 or 1/4 speed , and in the opposite direction, so a digitized clip would need to then be slowed down by the same amount (since std cass would have been captured at a higher speed), and reversed. Then there is the issue of eq which would not be optimal using this method. Higher quality would be gotten using the proper devices in the chain.
