  1. Dear community

I use Megamix-LAVFilters-0.xx-x64, MPC-HC and madvr. I don't use DirectVobSub, since I want as few settings as possible and it was never clear to me when MPC-HC does the rendering and when DirectVobSub does the rendering (it seemed to switch based on the subtitle source).

In most videos I don't have problem with subtitles. I can manage the size and style with the "default style" settings of MPC-HC.

But some videos have styles that can't be overwritten. The subtitles are not hardcoded and I can enable or disable them and switch languages. But the size and style seems to be hard coded as MPC-HC does not apply it's style to these subtitles regardless what I try. Since the subtitles are way to big I search for an explanation and solution to adapt the size.

I dont see any other program running when playing these videos: only the LAV filters/splitter, madvr and MPC-HC.

I attached the settings and also the output as screenshots.
(With these settings subtitles are normally way too small, but they are still huge in my screenshots.)

Thank you for your time and help

Thank you for the hint, I have never seen this format before (PGS). I researched it and it's mainly for Karaoke, so that subtitle can change colors etc.
But I still was not able to find put how the reduce the size. I tried DirectVobSub (no output at all), AssFilter (no output at all), XYSubFilter (same as MPC-HC internal Sub renderer).

Would anyone know a subtitles renderer that can adjust PGS size?
I search a little bit around and obviously different players render PGS at different sizes and at different locations. So it should be easy to for a subtitle renderer to just adjust size the PGS pictures.

I also found that people use https://www.nikse.dk/subtitleedit to convert PGS to SRT/IDX
But to be honest, I dont want to do that for one series with PGS. I'm still hoping I can find a renderer that can adjust the size of the subtitle picture.

    Here are some details:
