  1. I would like to know how to convert MPEG2 to MPEG1, so I can burn a Spiderman VCD to play on my DVD player....

    Demux the SVCD mpg using TMPGEnc's mpeg tools. Use the audio and video files as input to TMPGEnc and re-encode using a VCD template.

    To do it properly you really need to join the 3 SVCD mpgs first and split in half. Then do the demux and re-encode as mentioned at the start.

  3. TMPGEnc will not take the MPEG-2 input without an MPEG-2 codec or filter installed - you can get both in the "tools" section here

    you could also use DVD2AVI -- load up all 3 SVCD MPEG-2 files into DVD2AVI - create 1 project file and then convert it to VCD
