  1. I have a Sharp viewcam 8. I'm trying to record from the camera to my computer. I'm using Diamond One-Touch video capture and Cyberlink Power Director 13 software. When I plug in the camera and try to record I hear the audio but cannot see any video. I've used this same setup to record from the VCR to the computer without issues. I can see the video on the camera but not sure why I'm not seeing any video on the computer. Any Ideas?

Be sure that PD is set to the proper capture setup, s-video or RCA.
I am a user of PD 5 thru 20, but I never capture with it, there are better ways. PD is what I use for final export.

Here is a tutorial that may help you set things up correctly:

TechTVusa by another name? Pretty amateurish actually, confusing use of the term "uncompressed", no clue on 720x480 capture PAR, audio setup in VDub incorrect, blamed the GV-USB2 and then proceeded to go down the Windows audio rabbit hole. Hybrid in 6 minutes... good luck with that. Recommends SVT-AV1 and then says probably won't be able to play it!

And covered at least 60 minutes of content in 20.

That was not a good tutorial at all IMO.
