  1. I fell in love with the cartridge type of dvd ram lately. I'm looking to modify my current pc burner to mod it (i'm not sure that's possible) so it accept cardridges. Is there a specific model i should look for on ebay / web ?

The one on the photo would be just fine imo

What did you expect? I don't think I have seen a new drive that accepted cartridges for sale in close to 20 years. All of the drives I saw listed on eBay had IDE connections. The cartridges were never as popular as regular DVD-RAM media and even the production of regular DVD-RAM discs ceased in 2019.
Ignore list: hello_hello, tried, TechLord, Snoopy329

    Such a cool looking hardware.
2000s were so much diverse than nowadays, globalisation and cost-optimization killed diversity.
Modern companies yapping 'diversity is our strength' in public but privately doing exactly the opposite, aiming to have monopoly.

Keep hunting on eBay, something will turn up sooner or later.

Yep, minus the money-robber price, in his dreams i pay $120+ shipping for this antique

This is rare, no longer manufactured hardware and has no real market substitution, being a niche product, so its price will only go up in future.
That's how antique market works. You pay premium for having something that is unique and rare.
I don't find the price high. Particularly for NEW item like this.

(aside from this, I wouldn't expect anyone from France to say 120 bucks is a high price. seriously monsieur?)
