smr=really compressed mpeg 4...small, but not that good quality

tmd=ppl said poorly done re-encodes...bad quality, screwed up aspect ratio, etc...

btw, kazaa and other p2p mainly have compressed mpeg-4 .avi files (usually divx)...so you can only watch on computer (not on standalone dvd player)

the best place would be IRC...goto www.mirc.com and download a client for it. it might be a little bit confusing at first, but once u know how to use it, all the good stuff is on it

CAM=some guy sneaking in a camcorder into theater ... you can see the audience and hear ppl talking, coughing

TS=telesync....better version of CAM..but still w/ camcorder, usually on a tripod and has direct feed to the audio source (usually through headphone jack in the handicapped theater seats)

TC=telecine...dunno much about this, but i believe they digitize or scan the 35 mm film

SCR=screener..usually VHS or DVD that studio execs provide as a preview and for oscar considerations

WP=workprint...usually VHS...this is like a pre-theater version of the movie, so may not be exactly the same as the version you would watch at a theater (cuz there may be some more editing)...also, there will usually be a scrolling warning about copying on the bottom of the video (blah, blah, blah...call 1-800-NO-COPY or something like that)
