THE TROUBLE WITH AI

Hi.
This is my first post so please guys don't slay me.
Ihave had pretty much good results up to now DVD2SVCD. I have come up against a problem with AI the DVD, Everything fine up to using TMPGEnc I split into 3 CDR'S but the wide screen format seems to be wrong some how it goes to full screen when played on the PC (power dvd4 ) When I expand the window the quality is very poor and blocky, I have burned a little to see what it looks like on my player again aspect seems to big for my wide screen tv and the quality is poor I noticed the aspect ratio is 2.35:1 in letter box w/s, most of the DVD'S I have converted have been 1.85:1 and I have had no problem with using full screen keep aspect ratio and quality is brilliant. Any advice greatly appreciated even though I am not explaining my self very well.

You need to make sure you setup TMPGEnc correctly to maintain the aspect ratio, go to the settings - advanced, and set this:
16:9 Display
Full Screen (keep aspect ratio 2)

Make sure you use it exactly as i did to maintain the aspect ratio on the PC
