I've recently acquired this prosumer machine 2nd hand and I wish to use it to dub to DVD from S-VHS tape using the unit's S-Video input. Trouble is the latter seems to be dead. Will there be an 'easy' way to somehow fix it that an amateur can attempt? Alternatively I understand I can also run the Y/C from S-VHS to the BNC using an adaptor. Can anyone else shed light on my best options? Many thanks!

You will have to switch the output on the vcr to s-video to get it working unless its dead to begin with.

The S-VHS VCR outputs s-video naturally.
