Video/Screenshot Guide to Freevine/N_m3u8DL-RE downloader for MacOS

I'm looking for a video/screenshot guide of how to capture and download content from ITVX and UKTV Play. I've been trying to read various comments on the forums page but not getting anywhere with Terminal on MacOS as most screenshots I have seen are for Windows. I have yt-dlp installed too.

Thank you. I can get the mpd link for a UKTV Play video as I have an extension for it on Chrome to capture it. Will it work by adding the link into N_m3u8DL-RE? Can PM me details if that's better?

I have the manifest.mpd file but there's lots of pssh codes? How do I set this up on https://keysdb.net/ to get the key?

Also how do I install N_m3u8DL-RE within Terminal?

I get in Terminal: /Downloads/N_m3u8DL-RE: Permission denied

Put it in the same folder where you put N_m3u8DL-RE (unpack it of course if it's zipped).

Download and place N_m3u8DL-RE in a folder that will not move and copy the path.
In your terminal type :

nano ~/.bash_profile

Then add this line :

alias N_m3u8DL-RE="PATH"

For exemple mine is :

alias N_m3u8DL-RE="/Users/user/Documents/GitHub/DRM-remover/TOOLS/N_m3u8DL-RE/N_m3u8DL-RE"

Then ctrl + x then y then enter. Then type :

source ~/.bash_profile

For mp4decrypt install bento4 with homebrew :
If you don't have homebrew (https://brew.sh/) :

/bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/install.sh)"

brew install bento4
