I would like to know if there is a way to keep viewing the file "Download"? What I mean by this is there are (2) different types of downloads as far as I can tell. (1) is where the download starts and shows up in the "Downloads" area for "Firefox Downloads Arrow" and then the second one which I don't currently like having to use. But I do because its the only other option for some sites. (2) Is where the files get downloaded to "dwhelper" which I believe it uses a second party app that is needed for these specific kinds of videos and site.
Now what I would like to be able to do is this "be able to see the downloading video without needing to click on the icon twice and then click on running".
Here is how I need to do things:
1. I click on "Vidcloud" button since that one downloads the fastest and I don't seem to have issues with it
2. I then click on the player anywhere just to start the video and then I click again once I see the pause button popup "This way I know the video has played long enough to get detected."
3. Now I click on the "Video Downloadhelper" icon and then I click on 640X360 these download the fastest. "Then I watch the videos and then I delete them. If I know I will be watching them on a bigger screen then the laptop screen I will download in full quality. But normally I will watch something once and then delete it unless I really like it."
4. But what I don't like is sometimes the video will stop downloading and will still be kept inside the download location folder called "dwhelper" and the video length will be only a few seconds or a few minutes but not the full video.
So here is what I do to make sure the video is full: Once download start I then click on the "Video Downloadhelper" icon a second time and then click on the blue icon for the "Running" and watch for it to get near 99% and then finishes.
Is there a way to do this without needing to keep click on the second time for each and ever video.
I like using the "Video Downloadhelper" addon of Firefox but I hate having to switch from my main laptop which is my Windows 11 to the older Windows 10 Laptop that I use for downloading all the videos. Is there a way to find out when the "downloading Finishes" or is there a downloader program I can send this download to.
I have heard of Jdownloader but not sure how all that works. I also know about youtube-dlp which I have on both computers actually but as of right now I don't think that would be able to work for me with the sites I am currently using.
Maybe there is a way to work with the ffmpeg in someway to see all the files being downloaded by the secondary app once I start the download with "Video Downloadhelper".
