I have a UDP file with OTA TV recording. How I can convert it to a playable file format, say TS, MKV, MOV, MP4, I don't really care which one.

What device created a udp file? Usually the term UDP is associated with a connectionless network protocol.

Same issue. The ADTH NextGen ATSC 3.0 tuner records programs and saves them to files with a .udp file extension. Here's an example: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MQzbHfuDqTCCCsU-6HsyHy6ua_MH1HlU/view?usp=sharing

    Much thanks.

This box is acting like a DVR and recording these files on an external drive? They play back properly on the device?
These files are almost certainly encrypted

    They do.

Was kind of afraid of that. When I first got the box, it saved in very portable .ts files. Now, these. I was hoping someone with a big more experience with video files could have a look. I appreciate it.

  7. from a quick google, it doesnt look like recorded encrypted atsc3 content is able to be played on a different device yet - but others might have more info

    paraphrasing from here
All atsc3 content (encrypted or not) is recorded in udp format, and the encrypted atsc3 channels do a widevine license request every time recorded encrypted atsc3 content is attempted to be played back.

astc1 recorded content is recorded in .ts format

The file is encrypted. There is nothing you can do.
