Error "DVD is full " with Philips recorder DVDR3455h/37

Error shown "DVD is full " with Philips recorder DVDR3455h/37. Trying to copy files from Hard Drive to DVD, putting blank DVD disk is shown error "DVD is full ". Also software firmware update can not be done when you put the update disk. Is anyhow to reset factory settings?

Try +R instead of +RW(or vise versa)......other than that.......the drive/burner is dead. VERY common.

The burner is not dead. Because sometimes can record and is not showing the error "DVD is full". Might work fine sometimes but might not mostly of time. Is coming randomly. The other thing is that can play movie DVD discs but can not read firmware update CD. Very strange, Thaks for your help

I know this is off thread but i really need the firmware files for this DVD recorder but they are not available on philips webite anymore. Could you please send me these files some way?
