My VHS captures have some audio glitching. The glitching happens at different times each capture, which is good because I can record twice, splice together the good parts, and cut out the glitchy parts. But I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what's causing this so I don't have to go through the trouble of editing the audio. I record without any other programs running on my computer, and I restart the computer before beginning, so I don't believe it's related to CPU activity. The video doesn't glitch along with the audio, it seems to be its own issue.

Hi artemisc, I just saw this post of yours from January which wasnt replied to.
These clicks can be digitally removed very quickly and easily. See audio comparison below. Digital "declicking" has been around since the 80's. These days a basic audio Declicker tool can be had free and slightly better ones for peanuts.Last edited by timtape; 13th Nov 2024 at 05:35.
